A New Session Begins!
Yesterday officially marked the first day of our new session at The Sewing Studio! What a fun day it was, all of our Introductory Sewing classes are completely full, with wonderful students eager to learn. I have to say, I am looking forward to seeing their progress and guiding them to construct their very first skirt. How exciting!
You can’t get any more satisfaction from wearing something you have made and have people admire it. It is such a great feeling and I can’t wait till our students experience it for themselves.
Well I am off to The Sewing Studio to teach another class, so fun! Have a wonderful day and I look forward to seeing you at The Studio to sew it up!

My First Day at The Studio!
Sunday, February 2, 2009 was my first visit to The Sewing Studio’s Avenue Rd. location (I am a virtual intern). It was awesome!
Everyone was so friendly and the space is so cute. I walked in on a beginner’s class, taught by upbeat instructor Katherine. They were finishing off there drawstring bags (ideal for storing shoes, a gift or keeping you organized!) and learning how to lay pattern pieces for their skirt project. I was so pleased to see how well everything was set up and how helpful and supportive everyone is, not that I expected any less!
I had a brief chat with Stephanie and got a tour of the studio. I instantly felt like I belonged. Even people walking by on the street seemed so interested in what was going on inside. Men and women alike! The environment is so cozy you feel like you’re at home.
I am so excited to visit again and meet more of the team. It was definitely a great experience.
