March break means we’re all about…KIDS!!
Well, it’s another happy Monday at The Sewing Studio. And today marks the start of a SUPER busy SUPER fun week of sewing! We’ve got three jam-packed sewing camps that we’re running in celebration of one of the best things about grade school and high school: MARCH BREAK!
This week, we’ve compressed three of our most popular classes, Introductory Sewing, Junior Fashion Series, and Kids After School, into one-week sewing bootcamps. So the Toronto studio will be packed with bodies from 10am through to 8:30pm every day this week.
Honk your horn twice as you drive by us on Avenue Road if you love sewing, too!
This weekend we threw another great sewing party, this time at our Pickering location. The birthday girl turned 9 and invited 7 of her friends to The Sewing Studio to learn how to sew. There was pizza, there was cake, and of course, there was sewing. Each party goer left with a purse (it was a purse party!) as well as goodies from the studio. Keep an eye out for the video footage being put together by Black Suits & Broken Hearts Productions. Here are some still shots as a sneak peek:

Wondering what other kid projects we’ve been doing lately? Sock monkeys!! These are incredibly simple to make, and great fun to adorn. (p.s. The little guy on the left isn’t wearing a SARS mask, his face just isn’t finished yet.)

And what a pretty ballerina, you are!!…..

Hope you have a great week ahead!

March Break at the Sewing Studio!
March is a busy month at the Sewing Studio. We have something going on for everybody. We have plenty of activities to keep everyone busy during March Break. We have three great boot camps that run each day for the week of March Break.
Introductory Sewing is our course that teaches you the basics on sewing and the sewing machine. So whether you’re brand new to sewing or just trying to refresh your skills it’s a great course taught by wonderful instructors who are there to help every step of the way.
The Kids Sewing Camp is our course for younger sewing enthusiasts. It teaches them creative methods of decoration, valuable knowledge about the basics of sewing and gives them a chance to express their creative side with some great projects.
Our third is The Junior Fashion Series. It helps teens discover the wonderful world of DIY (Do It Yourself) by showing ways to turn something old into something new through embellishments and alterations.
So take advantage and get creative with The Sewing Studio this March Break!
